We cross the northern side of the island, heading for the westernmost point and the famous Falasarna beach.
It has been awarded as the best beach in Crete and has been voted as one of the 10 best beaches in Europe several times in the past.
It is protected by the European program Natura 2000, due to the wide variety of flora and fauna in the area but also due to its special natural beauty.
Falasarna beach stretches over a large area and essentially consists of five contiguous beaches with a total length of approximately 3 kilometers and a width of 150 meters, with the two most central being the visitors’ favourites.
On the beach there are beach bars and restaurants to enjoy your coffee, drink and lunch (not included in the excursion price). You can rent umbrellas, do water sports and play beach volleyball.
We stay at the beach for 6 hours so that you can enjoy sunbathing and swimming in the crystal clear, transparent, blue-green waters as well as the wonderful, white and pink sand.
If you walk a little and visit the northern end of the beach, you can see the ruins of the ancient city and the port of Falasarna, which gave its name to the area.
